In light of the upcoming regulation on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the European Union (EU), Germany’s largest AI Association, KI-Bundesverband, has submitted an official position paper to leading stakeholders and decision makers at the EU and on a national level.
The paper, co-authored by Nicole Formica-Schiller, includes recommendations for any future regulation of AI in the EU and is currently undergoing a public stakeholder engagement process.
“Europe has to set itself up as an internationally strong, globally competitive, AI player. AI can bring Europe forward. For this, an appropriate political and regulatory framework is needed. Therefore, I strongly encourage all of us, to have a fact-based and constructive debate around the upcoming European Commission’s draft on the EU-Regulation of AI”, Nicole Formica-Schiller emphasized.
